Industrial Benchmark Summit 2025

How do companies deal with challenges and change? Do they ignore them? Or do they only react when there is no other option?

The crucial question is: Do you proactively prepare for change? Because standing still is harmful, and even small, gradual steps can have a big impact.

With this guiding principle in mind, the Industrial Benchmark Summit took place in Würzburg on October 15 — organized by MM Maschinenmarkt. As part of the diverse lecture program and accompanying trade exhibition, numerous topics relating to current challenges and practical solutions were discussed.

People stay in the center with weasl, Shyftplan, hoorai & Co.

We particularly remember presentations that focused on people, because without them, transformation — even digital transformation — is unlikely to succeed.

For example, Bastian Ballmann from König und Bauer AG impressively demonstrated that digital transformation comes from within: it requires committed people who are enthusiastic about new topics. With the appropriate freedom and trust, so that the entire company can ultimately benefit.

hoorai by mayven GmbH also took up this idea and presented solutions that help employees recognize their strengths and comfort zones in order to specifically promote individual training and development opportunities. After all, employees are more than just their generic job titles.

Michael Bantele from Birke und Partner GmbH highlighted how a company’s history can be an important tool for employee retention and strengthening the brand image. But personnel planning, especially in combination with the shortage of skilled workers, was also an important topic that was discussed.

Our colleagues from FTI Consulting spoke about capacity management and the path from ad hoc planning to orchestrated personnel management. This topic was complemented in a practical way by Shyftplan‘s Tool Time contribution.

We ourselves had the opportunity to present our worker assistance system weasl during Tool Time and to show how important it is to actively support employees so as not to lose them in the midst of digital transformation.

Our conclusion on the Industrial Benchmark Summit

It was an all-round successful program that provided inspiration and impetus for all participants, from strategy and technology to people as a key success factor.

A visit to next year’s Industrial Benchmark Summit is definitely highly recommended.
