Goal

Providing machine data of machine tools with Siemens Sinumerik controls according to umati (universal machine tool interface) standard via an umati OPC/UA server.

Implementation

iSAX carried out the complete implementation and control of the project with its own team of developers:

  • technology evaluation related to the capability to run with Siemens Sinumerik controllers
  • development and test of an umati OPC/UA server as configurable interface according to umati Companion Specification

  • easy retrofitting for machines with Siemens controls
  • no separate Siemens OPC-UA server necessary
